KisanHub’s Non-Executive Chairman and former Member of Parliament for South East Cambridgeshire from 1987-2015, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food 2010-2012. Past Chairman of First Milk Ltd, Non-Executive Director of Camgrain, Current Trustee/Director of NIAB TAG and of the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust.
Patrick is Notion Capital’s board representative for KisanHub and lead the investment for Notion in 2016. He joined Notion Capital in July 2013 where he focuses on deal origination, evaluation and execution as well as fundraising, portfolio company development and cloud metrics benchmarking. Patrick is a Board Observer at Duedil, DemystData and IOCS.
Kerry has over 20 years’ venture capital experience starting with Venture Technologies, a $50m deep tech fund in 1997 achieving high profile exits including Autonomy (IPO), Whereonearth (Yahoo), Trustbase (SunMicrosytems) and Durlacher (IPO). She also worked with an Italian Venture Capital Fund and with a Property Investment fund before co-founding IQ Capital. Kerry focuses on product, market strategy and team dynamics. She sits on several boards including BMLL, Apperio and Divido and led Sirigen’s exit (Beckton Dickinson). Kerry began her career with BDO Stoy Hayward following the Royal College of Music. Kerry sits on the BVCA Venture Capital Committee.
Hanadi is Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Centre and Director of Accelerate Cambridge, Judge Business School. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation. A serial entrepreneur herself, she has a strong understanding of the needs of early stage ventures and entrepreneurs. Her areas of interests cover a wide range of industries, covering traditional sectors such as education, and more cutting edge technology sectors such as Biotech. She is a Special Advisor to the Founders, advising them on sales, strategy to scale up and fund raising.
Tina is the CEO of NIAB and has led and managed multifaceted, product driven, research and development programmes in North America and UK/mainland Europe. Tina is a member of the UK Agri-Food Technology Leadership Council. She advises KisanHub on all things UK agriculture and market development as well as representing NIAB’s interest in the collaboration with KisanHub.
Roberto Cipolla obtained a B.A. (Engineering) from the University of Cambridge in 1984
an M.S.E. (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985. From
1988 he studied and worked in Japan at the Osaka University of Foreign Studies (Japanese
Language) and Electrotechnical Laboratory.
His research interests are in computer vision and robotics and include the recovery of motion and 3D shape of visible surfaces from image sequences; object detection and recognition; novel man-machine interfaces using hand, face and body gestures; real-time visual tracking for localisation and robot guidance; aplications of computer vision in mobile phones, visual inspection and image-retrieval and video search. He has authored 2 books, edited 12 volumes and co-authored more than 400 papers.
Gary Laitner is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, and he is a partner at Faegre Baker Daniels in the London business and corporate services group. Gary also serves as co-leader of Faegre Baker Daniels' international team. Gary advises KisanHub on all legal aspects of their business.
Director of the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship at Cranfield University and Director of Accelerator India. Previously he was Director of Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. Shai mentored KisanHub during the early stages of the business. He advises KisanHub on Board matters, team development and business growth strategies.
Ali studied agricultural business management at the University of Reading. He has a very practical farming background, and is a proud Shoffel wearer. His role at KisanHub is Key Accounts Manager, dedicating time visiting farms, on-boarding clients and attending regional events. Throughout the season, Ali spends most of his time shooting, he classes this as a "networking activity".
Toby is Vice President of Sales, bringing over ten years European agricultural and horticultural business practice and expertise to KisanHub. He has held several sales, marketing and commercial management roles for Syngenta, Arysta Lifescience and FERA. He trained in Crop Protection Agronomy through Harper Adams University, studied Marketing & Sales Excellence through INSEAD and sat on several food and agricultural committees.
Vrushali studied agriculture and strongly believes in sustainable agricultural practices. She has a very practical farming background. At KisanHub, she works as a Product Manager. Her key focus is on visiting farms, onboarding clients, doing product research, understanding client requirements and making sure that the product works for our users. She is passionate about her work and enjoys exploring new places, reading, drawing and cooking.
Neha is graduated from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics - Mumbai. At KisanHub, she works as a Customer Success Associate. She is responsible for handling user's queries, delivering them value and seamless user experience. She love to build customer relationship to ensure their retention and growth. Neha enjoys listening music and interested in mehndi art, emboss painting, decorating small idols.
Bhushan studied Computer Science at Pune University. His role at KisanHub is as a Mobile Application Developer mainly focusing on Android Apps. He is passionate about coding and exploring the best way to implement ideas. Off work, he likes to play Badminton and computer games, loves to watch movies and series of Action and Sci-Fi genre. He likes to listen to classical and retro Indian music.
Dharmendra earned his M.Sc. in Applied Geology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is currently a full stack developer and leads the development of the KisanMet. This requires him to ensure supply of consistent and high quality weather data, using state of art weather stations and field sensors. He also focuses on data visualisation and analytics. He enjoys keeping himself fit, watching movies and travelling.
Harshal is a technical expert with over 15 years’ experience in systems development, GIS, data management and application development. Harshal leads satellite image processing services. He is responsible for the design, development, delivery and maintenance of geospatial, remote sensing and web functionalities. Harshal holds a Ph.D. in Hydrology from Loughborough University. In his spare time, Harshal enjoys the great outdoors.
Neeraj holds a degree in Master of Computer Application from University of Delhi. He works as a full stack developer focussing on building satellite image processing services and building scalable cloud infrastructure. He enjoys reading about new technologies and watching movies in his free time.
Nithya is an Agricultural Engineer from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. She's passionate about using technology to achieve improved and sustainable farm production. Her role at KisanHub involves research and development of decision support tools for crop management and data analytics. She actively contributes in satellite image processing for crop monitoring and yield prediction.
Piers read Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Oxford. He spent four years overseeing >$500m as an analyst and junior portfolio manager for agricultural strategies on BlackRock Investment Management's Natural Resources team. He left in 2014 to pursue an M.Sc. in Data Science and also attended the Makers Academy software and web development programme. When not working, Piers enjoys reading, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and brushing up on the latest developments in deep learning.
Rohit is an Engineer with a degree in Computer Science. He currently looks over Product Management at KisanHub. Previously, he was a core part of KisanMet infrastructure development for field-sensor, weather station, and metrological data integration. Off work, he loves exploring new places, reading books and enjoys photography.
Umesh is an Electronics and Telecommunications engineer from VJTI, Mumbai and a self-taught programmer. Umesh works as a full stack developer on map-centric applications. He loves to solve technology problems and discover new technologies. Outside of KisanHub, he is a cycling enthusiast and a foodie.
With an experience of over 15 years in Bioinformatics, big data, Next Gen Sequencing, high performance computing and human genomics Vasu moved into a challenging AgriTech space with Kisanhub taking care of Trials App. He likes spending time with his family and friends, especially if it involves cricket, guitar, motorbikes or general merriment.
