My role at KisanHub is Senior customer success manager for the UK. It is my job to ensure that our customers are using the best tools possible to achieve their desired outcome, using our software.
Previously I was an Assistant Manager on a root veg farm in Cambridgeshire, which means I have the knowledge to understand what my customers are trying to achieve, and how we can help them.
At the moment I am working with our Product team to deliver our paperless passport app.
“Having loaded potato lorries myself and filled in the paperwork in the office and understanding the pains, I know first hand how important it is to our customers, so it is a really exciting time for KisanHub!”
Passionate, innovative and exciting.
I really enjoy being part of such a small team, that has so much potential to grow! It still amazes me that I can be sat at kitchen table having a video call with my colleagues in India showing me their crops growing on their family farms!
It has given me the knowledge base to understand our customer’s businesses and the crops they are working with.
I am lucky to be working with two university friends at KisanHub — Ali Edwards & Giles Barker. When they asked me if I wanted to be part of the team, I jumped at the chance!
I have the working knowledge of the type of businesses our customers run and combining that with my desire to help people be more efficient with their data meant that KisanHub was a great opportunity for me to take.
I am pretty sure if you had asked mine and Ali’s lecturers if we would be working for a successful start-up, having gained our BASIS and FACTs qualifications — they probably would have laughed!
Also having a dad who works for a very successful tech company has been pretty cool — our morning dog walks are spent exchanging ideas!
I am really interested in the idea of a positive mindset and positive affirmations. So I would say ‘what you believe is what you can achieve’ is a great one to go by.
Finally, as a tech startup working in the agri-food industry, do you have a favourite vegetable/fruit?
Always the potato — specifically a Maris Piper. Good old fashioned all rounder! I challenge anyone to beat a maris piper cut into chips and baked in the oven rather than fried; an all time favourite in our house!
